Hose Identification

Protective Sleeves can be used to identify hoses to reduce the possibility of mixing, contaminating products, or to designate hoses for specific applications or uses.

Some examples of using colours for identification:

  • Hose use: Blue for clean water, yellow for fuel, green for dirty water
  • Connection points can be coloured the same as the Protective Sleeve on the hose, to make sure the connections are done correctly
  • Hoses with specific chemical compatibility can be covered with a specific colour that is designated for a specific chemical
  • Colours can be used to identify which hoses belong to a specific application unit or truck. For example, if all hoses belonging to truck #35 have blue sleeves, operators can quickly make sure the right hoses are on the truck before it leaves. When working on a job site with several operators, if all your hoses have red Protective Sleeves, you can quickly locate all your hoses, preventing loss or theft.

Matching equipment colour schemes

Your new equipment looks good with new paint, until the hoses are added, and then there are various black, blue, green and red hoses (each with another manufacturer’s lay line) distracting from the appearance of a well-designed and well-constructed machine. Colour coordinated Protective Sleeve improves the appearance, keeping with the color scheme and design; it organizes the random hoses while also protecting the hoses from weathering and damage.
